Missions & Ministry in our community and beyond: The People of the Port Vue United Methodist Church believe our mission extends beyond ourselves with ministries of compassion, service, evangelism, healing, and love in Christ's name. While our missions focus begins close at hand with the needs of our church family, it reaches into the local community, our United Methodist Conference, our tri-state region, our nation, and our the world. For over 20 years our van has been transporting members and friends in the Port Vue area (including Glassport, McKeesport & Liberty boroughs), who otherwise could not attend, to Sunday morning and Wednesday evening worship services, as well as certain special events. All our drivers have appropriate Safe Sanctuary clearances.
Call 412 672-7289 to schedule Van Pickup and inquire about service area and times. We love our members and friends who are unable to be with us regularly. We keep in touch with our Shut-Ins through card ministry, monthly 'Home Touch' mailings, visitation, and Home Communion.
